Sutherland shire names as the second most liveable suburb in Australia

Sydney’s Sutherland Shire was named as the second most liveable suburb in Australia according to a national survey by market research company Ipsos.

Barden Ridge is situated in the heart of Sutherland Shire. Data collected from realestate.com.au shows its properties have seen steady price growth over the last 10 years.

Despite the general Sydney market softening over the past 2 years, medium-term growth in Barden Ridge has remained strong.

Sales Manager of The Ridgeway – Barden Ridge, Emilie Duval, commented that this is a testament to the suburb’s friendly family feel, its leafy environment and proximity to local shops, schools, and the Sydney CBD.

“People, particularly from the nearby suburbs, are seeing that there is value in The Ridgeway project.” said Emilie Duval.

Sales volumes remain high in The Ridgeway even though available land for sale is being tightly held. 

“The significant shortage of stock in this area is continuing to support price growth.” Said Ms Duval.

Further adding to the desirability of the area is the planned community facility upgrade. This upgrade is being driven by the local council and developer Dahua. Construction of the new community facility which incorporates open space, a public outdoor kitchen and dining area is expected to complete March this year. When complete, The Ridgeway residents will be able to enjoy their family meals within beautiful garden surrounds.
